Paint & Blast Leading Hand

Opportunity to join a successful Fabrication workshop on the Central Coast.. Permanent position, ASAP start

Team Employal are proud to be working with a successful Fabrication business on the Central Coast. 

Due to recent business expansion, the organisation is now looking for a Paint & Blast Team leader to join the team, overseeing the paint shop whilst building a team of paint specialists.

Key Responsibilities; 

This role will be varied, with no two days the same, reflective of the project work, however, day to day responsibilities, could include but not limited to 
  • Lead, Coach and manage personnel from Trades Assistants to Painters 
  • Working closely with the Fabrication Manager to ensure project deadlines are met 
  • Quality Assurance, overseeing all work meets Australian standards and codes, from Fabrication to Painting requirements.
  • Overseeing WHS requirements, ensuring that all work is performed safely, including managing SWMS and Inductions 
  • Onsite installation works, as required by the project.
About you; 

To be successful within this role, you will ideally have a demonstrated knowledge across the Fabrication & Engineering sectors along with the following skills and experience, 
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to coach/ mentor personnel 
  • Knowledge of Paint & Blast process and relevant standards 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Willingness to be hands-on 
  • Flexibility for on-site requirements, travel may be required
